Is there value in diversity?

There is value in diversity.

Here's two articles but there are lots more.

Diversity enhances creativity. It encourages the search for novel information and perspectives, leading to better decision making and problem solving. Diversity can improve the bottom line of companies and lead to unfettered discoveries and breakthrough innovations.

Diversity is important in today’s world because it helps us learn from each other and understand that everyone is unique and special in their own way. Diversity is important for several reasons, both in society and in various contexts such as the workplace, education, and communities. Here are some key reasons why diversity is important:

It was a bad bill that the Florida legislature passed in 2022 creating f.s. 1000.05(4)(a).

#6 basically says: If a white man gets disadvantaged when an organization tries to create diversity by including women and Black people in their organziation leadership, it will be viewed as one of the types of prohibited discrimination.

#6 disparages diversity, equity, and inclusion.

F.s. 1000.05(4)(a) is mentioned in this Florida Board of Education rule:

6A-10.081 Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida.

Here's an excerpt: 8. 7. Shall not harass or discriminate against any student on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national or ethnic origin, political beliefs, marital status, handicapping condition, sexual orientation, or social and family background and shall make reasonable effort to assure that each student is protected from harassment or discrimination. Discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex includes subjecting any student to training or instruction that espouses, promotes, advances, inculcates, or compels such student to believe any of the concepts listed in Section 1000.05(4)(a), F.S.
